Steeply Sloping Rear Garden in Sevenoaks

Award winner British Association of Landscape Industries National Awards 2003

Domestic garden scheme: (cost over £10,000)

Linden Landscapes Domestic Gardens Limited

The BALI judges comments on this garden were:

A slope of more than 1 in 3, rising 6m from the house in only 17m meant that the contractor faced a significant challenge. Substantial retaining works overcame large tree stumps, bedrock and very limited access. The design created a larger patio with lighting and a water feature. Good materials and detailing of hardworks and timber along with low maintenance shrubs has created a family garden of useable space where there was none before.

The result is a vast improvement and the realisation of space for a delighted customer.
